Quotes
Courteney Cox (on Mondler):
"It's so much fun for us. I have a new love for the show since I've gotten into this relationship.... Now we have something really fun to play - two really neurotic people trying to have a relationship. They're both afraid to commit, to get married, or take these steps. I have a really good time playing with him [Matthew Perry]. It's kind of like our relationship in real life - except we don't kiss."
Monica had been called high maintenance by both Phoebe and Rachel. She told Chandler to tell them how easy-going she is. He couldn't say it convincingly, because she isn't. She got upset, until he explained:
"You're not easy-going, but you're passionate, and that's good. And when you get upset about the little things, I think that I'm pretty good about making you feel better about that. And that's good too. So, they can say that you're high maintenance, but it's okay, because I like maintaining you."
Chandler was upset after finding out Monica had actually been looking for Joey the night they got together. Joey basically told him it didn't matter that she'd wanted him one time, because she wanted Chandler for the rest of her life.
"We look at you, and we see you together, and it just... it fits, you know? And you just know, it's gonna last forever."
Monica's wedding vows:
"Chandler, for so long I wondered if I would ever find my prince, my soul mate. Then three years ago, at another wedding, I turned to a friend for comfort. And instead, I found everything I'd been looking for my whole life. And now, here we are with our future before us, and I only want to spend it with you -- my prince, my soul mate, my friend."
The adoption agency Chandler and Monica used accidentally listed him as a doctor and her as a reverend. It was the main reason Erica (the birth mother) had chosen their file. At first, they went along with it, because they wanted to be parents so badly. Chandler convinced Monica they needed to tell the truth and she reluctantly agreed. Naturally, Erica was upset and stormed out of the meeting. Chandler tracked her down and explained their motives, which included this now-legendary speech:
"My wife's an incredible woman. She's loving and devoted and caring. And don't tell her I said this, but the woman's always right. I love my wife more than anything in this world. It kills me that I can't give her a baby. I really want a kid. And when that day finally comes, I'll learn how to be a good dad. But my wife, she's already there. She's a mother. Without a baby."
